Habaneros are something I had to gradually start using. I never used them because I thought that they were too spicy and hard to cook with but now I embrace the spice. This salsa is spicy and delicious and super simple to make.

Ingredients

3 Tomates

½ Onions

3 – 6 Habanero peppers (depending on the level of spicy you want)

¼  Tsp Oregano

⅛  Tsp Salt

Start by washing your veggies and peppers. In a pan add tomatoes, onions, and habanero peppers. Cook on high heat for 20 minutes and simmer for 5 minutes. I also let these cool for about 15 – 20 minutes before blending. When scooping out the veggies into the blender try not to use too much water, the tomatoes should provide most of the water.  As you can always add more liquid if needed by using the same water you cooked your veggies in. Once we have everything in the blender add salt and oregano and blend.

I put salsa on everything as I must have it at all times. This is a nice switch from the usual ones I keep at hand. Enjoy this on tacos, and breakfast. I wouldn’t eat this with chips because it’s pretty spicy. I rather put it on my food, but as I’ve told you already, I’m Mexican and we put salsa on all our meals.
