Starbucks Egg Bites

Starbucks Egg Bites

Starbucks sous vide egg bites

One of my biggest addictions is going to starbucks, their egg bites are Ooo so good. But for two egg bites, that still leaves you hungry. They are kinda pricey. Making these at home is so satisfying  and you can have as many as you want. I love popping these in the toaster oven before running out the house.

Ingredients:

12 eggs

½ a square of cream cheese

1 cup of cheddar cheese

1 bag of bacon

2 cups of cottage cheese

Sous vide, pronounced  /ˌso͞o ˈvēd/,  is a fancy french way of cooking your food in a hot water to a precise temperature while cooking your food evenly. The trick to this recipe is to make a water bath to help steam and cook evenly and mimic the sous vide technique.

First, chop and cook your bacon and put those to the side. Next, we are going to blend the eggs, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and cottage cheese in the blender. Once the ingredients are blended set aside and start filling the muffin trays with bacon. Pour in the eggs and top off with any extra bacon and cheddar cheese.

Set your oven to 300 degrees and add a tray or baking dish with boiling water at the bottom of the oven to help steam the eggs and help them bake evenly. You are going to place your muffin tray on the rack directly above the steaming water. Bake for 25 mins at 300 degrees.

After 25 minutes you are left with creamy soft delicious egg bites that won’t break your pocket. I used my mini muffin tray that makes 48 small muffins. That brings the price of these egg bites to .50¢ buy your own cold brew and you just saved your self 100’s at starbucks.

Well if it doesn’t keep you out of Starbuck, this will at least slow your roll.
